Sora Maegan Parr Romania/Moldova Mission : Week 9 in Bacauu -Paste Ferecit :)

Hello everyone :)

I hope you all had a great Easter!!!

So our district wanted to put on an Easter concert for people to come to and at least feel the spirit of the church. We planned it all out, arranged songs to sing and talks and great videos. We printed out 300 cards to hand out... well wednesday came around and it was almost 5... we had 2 members come and one non-member. we were all super bummed at first, but the second the note for the first song started the spirit was SOO strong and all of our worries just went away. We truly got to remember the reason we were having this program and got to think about the reason we celebrate Easter.

For easter the Orthodox church does "midnight mass". It's where the whole tosh gets shut down and at midnight we all go with unlit candles and at midnight a priest lights his candle, then one by one everyone lights theirs and it spreads, then the priest sing, and then ya go home. If you make it home without your candle going out then you get good luck for a whole year! sora and i both will have great luck this year apparently :)

Funny story.. So the weather here has been like "Idaho weather" sunny one second, pouring rain the next. We were about to go out contacting, and I am saying a prayer before we left. I was saying something about safety, the second i said it. BOOOM!!! the loudest noise ever! it sounded like a bomb just went off in Centru... we run to the window and it is POURING rain, and lightning everywhere. So we got all bundled up because of the rain. we walk outside and 2 minutes later there is blue sky and absolutely no sign of rain! two minutes later it's pouring again. That is basically how this week has gone weather wise :)

This week has turned around for us. Our branch had a true miracle yesterday and things are only looking forward now :)
