Hello everyone :) another week come and gone, was a good one though!
Highlights:
* This week we were hoping to commit our investigator Daniela to a baptismal date, but things came up in her schedule so we couldn't meet, but she is still coming to church, reading her scriptures and progressing! We are planning on asking her Wednesday for sure. SO EXCITING!
* Friday Night Activity we watched the full Joseph Smith Restoration video, we had 2 english students come, and after we watched it, Camelia was so excited and is wanting to learn more, so we are looking forward to meeting with her this week!
so much food...
* Silvia, she is the BP of Constansa mother, she is not a member but we go and visit her. She is such a sweet lady! She had her friend Victoria there with her. As we walked over there she called to make sure we hadn't eaten..... We showed up and she said that we were in for a treat! We had SO MUCH FOOD. 1st course, was a huge fruit bowl with sour cream on top. 2nd course: 3 things of Sarmale and a large scoop of mamaliga, 3rd course: 3 scoops of rice, sautéed veggies, and a GIANT piece of chicken...... don't forget about dessert, 2 scoops of ice cream, and some homemade cake she made.
I have a testimony that Heavenly Father blesses his missionaries with the ability to eat the food put on their plates. :)
* Today for p-day we went bowling and played table tennis with 2 of our english students who are moving to London on Tuesday. They are super sweet. We found out that one of them took a BOM from the church and has been reading! So, Sora and I wrote our testimonies in one and gave it to her today, she was SO excited. It was sad saying bye, but i know that we have helped plant a seed in their hearts. :)
My thought of the week: Gratitude
Gratitude, My lovely companion gave a great talk on gratitude Sunday, and so throughout the week were talking about gratitude a lot.
I want you all to go read the talk by President Uchtdorf, from last general conference "Grateful in ANY circumstance"
Here is the link for you:
"I have learned that there is something that would take away the bitterness that may come unto our lives. There is one thing we can do to make life sweeter, more joyful, even glorious. We can be grateful! It might sound contrary to the wisdom of the world to suggest that one who is burdened with sorrow should give thanks to God. But those who set aside the bottle of bitterness and lift instead the goblet of gratitude can find a purifying drink of healing, peace, and understanding"
- Dieter F. Uchtdorf
I know that having an Attitude of Gratitude can truly bring more happiness to our lives. I challenge you all this week each night before you go to bed, tell someone next to you, or write it down, a list of 3 things you are grateful for. I promise that by doing this you will begin to see that Heavenly Fathers hand is in your life each day, and you will find yourself more happy and enjoying the little things.
I love you all, Thanks for your love and support <3
Cu drag, Sora Maegan Parr :)
